Here is another front cover I created with a partner, Tom Brice. The front cover was for a fashion magazine aimed at ginger people.
As you can see, my skills with Photoshop have improved as the quality of this front cover is much better than my pre-lim task. I was very pleased with how this magazine turned out, because it is very striking and bold. This is due to the powerful dominant centre image, which makes the entire front cover stand out. The fact that all the other text on the front are quite dull and plain colours makes the picture stand out even more. Due to the fact that the centre image was so strong, it meant that I didn't have to include any other images on the front cover as it was strong enough to be on its own.
This is a style i want to re-create for my music magazine.
I also learnt from the mistakes I made in the pre-lim task. This time round, I made sure i included all the codes and conventions found on a professional front cover for a magazine. This front cover has everything you should find on a front cover ranging from the website at the top of the page to the barcode at the bottom.
I feel that this front cover looks very professional and I am very pleased with it. I hope that i can do this again with my music magazine.
